This shirt is designed based on an American open-collar shirt from the 1950s. The body has a slightly relaxed silhouette with a length suitable for tucking in. To highlight the beauty of the silhouette, the fabric is made from soft, loosely twisted yarn that is hand-spun in India and hand-woven to create a fabric with volume and texture. The natural unevenness and airy feel, unique to hand-weaving, evoke the warmth of craftsmanship before the industrial age—an intentional choice of an inefficient, time-consuming method. This special colorway are dyed using natural dyes extracted from rare Yakusugi cedar, resulting in a distinct and expressive finish.
