Wool Cotton Linen Melange Tweed Trousers - Black

These trousers feature elastic gathering only at the side waist.

These trousers are designed to be worn as a set with a jacket, and are slightly voluminous and elegant. They retain the ease of elastic, but feature elastic at the sides to create trousers that flatter the hips.

Just like the jacket, the fabric will soften and expand with continued wear, allowing you to enjoy the changing look of these pants.

The warp threads are a 1/14 wool-linen blend and 2/60 wool, while the weft threads are a 1/14 wool-linen blend and 40/2 high-twist cotton, making this a fabric made entirely in Oshu, Japan.

The base material is a wool-cotton fabric, to which linen is mixed and then further twisted to give the cotton a firmness, ensuring that the fabric will not deteriorate even with long wear and will remain soft and conform to the body.

During the finishing process, the fabric is tumbled and then steamed, applying pressure and steam to flatten the fabric and give it a glossy finish and flexibility.

This is a process used on wool fabrics for neckties, etc., and rather than reducing the amount of material to make the fabric thinner, it is compressed to create a fabric that is designed for long wear.
